And look, we had a visitor the other day:

Strawberries, anyone?

Today we went strawberry-picking. It started out real nice, but we finished picking in the rain. The berries are worth it! So the next days we will have strawberry tarte, strawberry ice cream, strawberry smoothies, strawberry dessert (with balsamico vinegar and mint).... Mmmmmmmm!

Diamonds

Thomas calls it the "diamond sweater". Sorry, no jewelery....
A nice fleece I found in my local Joann's, not too thick. I always hesitated to make this kind of sweater because of the zipper, but it worked out just fine. Actually it is not difficult at all.

Two down, 6 to go

Van de 8 projecten zijn er intussen twee af.
Eerst maar snel een pyjama gemaakt van de kreeftenstof, met een lange en een korte broek:

 En dan de velours broek. Ik was bang dat het wat suf zou zijn maar het is heel leuk geworden! Het patroon is uit de Ottobre herfst 2011: High Jump. De ronde zakken geven het een nieuwe look. In de tailleband zitten 2 perfect gelukte knoopsgaten danzij de juiste versteviging en cordondraad. De handleiding ervoor vond ik hier.

De broek is alleen te lang, en bovendien zakt hij af. Hij schuift steeds onder de buik waardoor hij te laag komt te zitten. Misschien dat ik er toch nog elastiek in naai, nu zit er alleen keperband in.
