Making Kiind jumpsuits is great, especially because it is a project you can complete from A to Z during your baby's nap! Here is nr 7:
Same is true for the Rainbowbodies. Nr 2:
This body is supposed to go under this jacket I made earlier

Schnabelina's Regenbogenbody
A while ago I found Schnabelina's Welt
Check it out! Tons of (free) cute stuff, the Regenbogenbody for example:
I have a cute matching rib cord fabric, I will make a tunic to go over this and brown or pink pants. What do you think?

Body warmer
After all the baby stuff, something for Thomas: a body warmer.
I bought the traffic sign fabric with a long sleeve hoodie in mind. But the colors are quite cold and the print is a little bit loud. So I ended up pairing the fabric with fleece and put the print on the inside as the lining. We are quite happy with the result!
It was easy to make, no visible seams so you don't need to worry about finishing them. Finished just in time for the cooler days ahead.

Outfit for babygirl
First the bodysuits, then the jumpsuit, now a real outfit: pants with 2 tops.
The animal fabric is from my stash. I had bought it for Thomas more than a year ago, but the amount of pink made it too girly. The vest is wearable on both sides.
The tunic and pants have long arm/leg cuffs so there is room to grow. You can use them folded up in the beginning, and fold them down as the child grows.

Tarte au chocolat, anyone?
A classic, French tarte au chocolat. It looks like a calorie bomb, but actually it is not. Delicious!

Musuem
Last week Thomas went with his dad to the city's Children's Museum. He was very excited at first, until we explained to him that he was probably not going to hear any music, he confused "museum" and "music". Not surprising he didn't remember the last he was in a museum: he was sleeping.
They left at 9:30 in the morning, the museum opens at 10:00, I expected them back around 1PM. Thomas had a good time, he was ready to go home at 3:30, Dad was ready long before that. What bothered him the most was the noise. "Yeah", I said, "I imagine it must be loud, all those kids." "No" was his answer, "it's the parents who are loud. The kids are quietly absorbed in their activities, but the parents can't stop shouting at them."

Bodysuit
Wrap around or side snap bodysuits for newborns seem to be rare in the US. But they are so practical during the first months! So I decided to make my own. For a first try I used a cheap knit from the local fabric store.
Cute, no? The snaps are missing, they are on the way. However, this is supposed to be size Newborn (=56cm), but I think it is for a very chubby newborn. Look, compared to an "official" size 56:
So the pattern (Ottobre, btw) needs a little tweaking. Once I get the hand of it I will be making them in bulk, since this super adorable Znok fabric is coming my way. Lots of it.....

Strawberries, anyone?
Today we went strawberry-picking. It started out real nice, but we finished picking in the rain. The berries are worth it! So the next days we will have strawberry tarte, strawberry ice cream, strawberry smoothies, strawberry dessert (with balsamico vinegar and mint).... Mmmmmmmm!

Switzerland
The silence around here was a bit long. I'll try to be better in the future.
And now some picture spam....
