Linnen shirt

Ik blijf het moeilijk vinden, de polo-sluiting. Het is niet zo heel ingewikkeld, maar wat een gefriemel!! Hoewel niet helemaal perfect is het toch een leuk shirt geworden. Voor de kleine gebreken vond ik een elegante oplossing, van waar het belang van een goede voorraad.

In het doorstikken met cordonnet garen gaat wel enorm veel tijd zitten. Iedere keer de naald verwisselen (cordonnet garen heeft een naald met een groter oog en gleuf nodig om een mooie steek te krijgen), klosje garen verwisselen, draad opnieuw inrijgen, niet vergeten een langere steek in te stellen. En dan weer opnieuw...

Nog wat gekke bekken foto's. Het shirt is aan de grote kant (maat 122), ik hoop dat hij er snel ingroeit want het is niet echt een winter kledingstuk.

Bubbles

When I went to the local fabric store to buy buttons for the Apple shirt, this bubbly fabric was smiling at us. I made a quick, cute and easy smock dress with it. Bloomers out of coordinating cotton sateen, unfortunately way to large but who cares...

Last year I found this very thin and cute embroidered eyelet cotton in my local fabric store.
The yoke and piping are made of (light) quilting cotton.

The sleeves are hemmed with a rolled hem and smocked, which is always fun to do
